Panlogic wins Thomson Travel Group's Skydeals.co.uk for online partnership programme

Skydeals.co.uk, part of the Thomson Travel Group, has selected web marketing and advertising agency Panlogic to develop and implement its online private partnership strategy through its specialist division Panprofit (www.panprofit.co.uk).

Partnership marketing, whilst similar to public affiliate marketing in that payment is commission related, targets a smaller number of select partners. This allows greater control and increases the opportunities for a more personalised approach.

Panprofit's programme is built up using iChannel software that permits more sophisticated tracking, data mining and co-branding for the development of more strategic relationships between web sites. Panlogic, through Panprofit, is the only agency to have a license on this best of breed technology.

Ian Simkins, Managing Director of Thomson flight businesses commented 'We strongly believe in the 80/20 rule whereby 80% of sales comes from 20% of partners. Panprofit's strategic approach to working more closely with fewer selected partners should deliver this. Moreover, the iChannel software will also allow us to be more sophisticated in our overall approach to partnership marketing.'

Panlogic has also recently won Honda UK's used car division to provide more sophisticated tracking through the same iChannel platform. The platform will be able to tell Honda which models surfers are looking for, where there are actually going within the web site and where they fall off. Honda UK will combine this with a media spend to drive buyers to the used car section of the Honda UK web site.

James Dalton, Manager of company vehicle operations at Honda UK said 'We're using this platform to provide us with a greater level of intelligence from our media campaign. We want to know what models people are looking for and when they fall off our site'
