Business Link
[ Public-sector understanding ]
Requirements
Following the successful re-development of Business Link for London's monthly email newsletter Panlogic was invited to develop Business Link for London's new site architecture across a number of pages within their site. A significant constraint was the legacy Content Management System (CMS) (built in Cold Fusion) and the restrictions of certain forms and structures within it.
Strategy and Delivery
Panlogic executed a two phase strategy.
Phase 1: Learning and Scoping
We consulted with a large number of internal stakeholders. Such workshops elicited the needs of the future site structure alongside the frustrations of the current site. Simultaneously we developed learning and understanding of current usage amongst competitor sites and external users.
Phase 2: Wire-frames and Architecture
Having gathered information and understanding we developed the high level architecture and wire-frames. These were developed taking into account the current CMS solution , the relationship between the Client and its technical agency and the commercial situation which existed at that time between Business Link and its soon to be new owner, SERCO.
Results
Following the on-going sale of Business Link for London to SERCO plc the development of the new site by the current technical agency has been put on hold resulting in the project pausing until there is clarity as to any new direction.
